Mobile Blue Tooth Dialling Old Numbers

Featured Replies

Hi. Mk III Focus S 1.6TDCI (61 plate)

A contact in my mobile phone has changed, however the car blue tooth still dials the old number.

Any resolution please?

Manual not much help. Neither is the dealer that sold it to me.

Delete the 'phone from the car. Re-pair it and re-download the phone book? You may have an option to delete individual contacts... but maybe seems wisest to start from scratch.

Of course if you've saved it as a Phone Name Directory voice prompt dial, <e.g." Dial Joe Bloggs"> that will need amending separately (it's stored in the car unit not on your phone) and may, perhaps, be the cause of the 'wrong number' ? You'll likely have to delete and re-enter the Name used. It should all be in the manual(s) somewhere (although reading them is like admitting defeat)?
