Which Is The Better 1.6Tdci 2.0Tdci Engine

Featured Replies

We don't really drive it round town to be honest, my misses uses it to go to work 30 miles away, and we use whatever I have to go to town and short journeys

I think someone had lost the plot a a bit when it came to the Mk2-2.5

I agree Darren. Compared to our old Mk1.5 I regard my Mk2.5 as a bit of a design disaster. I reckon they must have given it to some work experience kid!

Your pictures show you've got a MK3 Focus, so thankfully you'll have the revised 8 valve version of the engine, which is massively improved compared to the steaming dog :shit: that was fitted to the earlier models.  It's still not a durable as the same generation 2.0 TDCi but I'd personally not be too worried if I had the newer 8 valve version AND I knew the oil had been done on time (every time it was due).

Nice one thanks for that buddy. That’s rested my mind a little. Also what’s that oil leak on the top? I’ve used brake cleaner on it and it’s slowly coming back but it’s not huge leak, will get it done soon once I’ve changed this ***** drive shaft
