Focus Earth Fault.

Featured Replies

My Focus mk 1 tddi has an earth fault. The cable that runs past the manifold is broken I think.

Anybody know of any tutorials out there to Replace it?

And are replacements easy to get hold of?

Regards

Rob.

I just replaced an earthing cable on my mk 5 fiesta 1.25. This was really accessible and a 5 minute job but I can't imagine the cables are any different? They're less than £10 in halfords, different lengths to fit.

Dave, was your battery light on and has it now gone off?

Earth fault past the manifold doesn't usually cause a battery light it depends on why you think its an earth fault as it could be an alternator or wiring fault from the slternator

I spotted it just as it broke so didn't drive it until I put a new one on so not sure.
