Best Battery 2008 Focus

Featured Replies

Ok problem is whats the best battery. I have a 2008 Focus 1.6 facelift and I have fitted HIDS 6000 and LED back lights too off a RS . All I need to know is do I buy a standard battery or do I need to upgrade to cope with extra power outage if any .

A standard Ford one will suffice, the HIDs shouldn't be a problem and LEDs are less hungry than standard bulbs. Make sure it is a genuine ford one though as these cars don't like standard normal batteries

Nice one mate you just put my mind at rest .

Just make sure it is a silver calcium battery that you get.

Ford use a smart charge system which will not work well with standard lead acid ones.

That is what I meant, silver calcium. I had a brain !Removed! and couldn't for the life of me remember that part

if you want the best then it will be the Bosch S5 silver calcium battery
