Drivers Door Misaligned?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, my drivers door isn't in line, when im at higher speeds you get a fair bit of noise from it and when I was on the dual carriageway a few weeks back and the wind caused the car to be a little wobbly.

Is there something I can adjust/do at home or is this a garage job?

Thanks

Is it the door or the mirror surround come loose and the wind hitting that reason I say is my near side one has come out a bit and I get wind noise off that just haven't got round to sorting it yet

Checked and they look to be ok, I did notice a few marks where the door is slightly scraping on the car though (very slightly)

On an unrelated subject I was cleaning the car and and tidying it up a bit and whilst checking for errors have found these;

EPS C1956-30

IC U1900-60

GEM P0071-0F

I have google'd for what they mean however wanted to know whether these will become a problem for the car, are they anything to worry about?

Where is the drivers door out of line?

If it's at the b-pillar there is scope to adjust it via the metal striker bolted to the b-pillar, you'd loosen the torx fixings then use a mallet to adjust it's position then re-tighten.

Its on the hinge side of the door, when the door is closed its outwards slightly.
