Hi all! Ford Focus zetec 100 1.6, noise starting up driving me mad, just like tapping two metal sticks together, any advice on what it could be would be great! Thanks in advance

    Common on the 1.6 its usually die to the oil falling to the sump it should after a bit quieten down if its constant perhaps it needs an oil change most cars do this you just don't hear it as theres far more sound insulation in them now

    Cheers eased my mind mate, I'll do a flush and full service in the near future anyway as I think the hydraulic tappets are ticking a little, suspect wrong oil was put in before I bought it a few weeks ago, thanks again
