There's a guide for a mk1,is it the same as that for mk2 I wonder

Can't see it being that different. The mounting points are easy to see if you lift the seat base up.

Really easy to do. Done both sides in my mk2

Remove plugs and bolt bar with bolts supplied

Thanks for the reply, Do i have to remove the seat to get to them?

I did remove the seat back to make it easier but can be done without removing. Just pull up base

As Gabbo says it is really easy. I wasn't able to release one side of the back of the seat so I bought a torx socket to help.
