Fuel Additive Module - Too High Voltage

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Keep getting this fault pop up on FORScan, does anyone else?

I can't understand why only one module would get too much voltage, if the alternator was failing all modules would be affected I think.

I know the smart charge can 'overcharge' compared with the normal 14.4v system, but not enough to do any damage obviously.

Also, does anyone with a 1.6TDCi and ELMConfig fancy doing me a favour? Want to see the FACM page screenshotted to compare mine.

Cheers

Tom

A too high voltage would suggest to me it means the FACM is sending too high a voltage to the PCM rather than the voltage going to the FACM being too high.

Thanks for the ELMConfig pics, that's ideal, just what I was after! :)

I should've added a pic to make the other problem clearer though, it is battery voltage too high:

Ah so I see. I wonder if it could be an erroneous error, but you say it keeps coming back. Having said that I had all sorts of electrical errors come up on mine all of a sudden.
