I'm looking to purchase a focus zetec s hatch tdci 2014. Can anyone advise on a towbar fitting. Does the rear bumper need cutting and does it look bad?? Can a detachable towbar be fitted??

Across the road from my gf the guy has the same car as me just a different colour and he turned up with a caravan towed a couple of weeks back.I dont speak to the guy but was interested to see how they did it with the body kit etc . I couldnt see what was under the body but looked like a special bracket that was almost U shaped that dropped down below the mper then back up . It was nothing like the normal ball type connection and dont know all the ins and outs on tow bars but there was no damage/cutting needed to the bumper etc . HOWEVER this was on the MK2.5 but i doubt very much any bumper work would need doing . If i see the guy i will nip over and ask to maybe get pointers/company names.

Doesnt look like cutting is involved but saw on some other posts that they do a Witter branded one which you DO need to do a very slight bit of cutting but so minimal you hardly notice.

The instructions for my Witter towbar said I would need to cut the bottom of the bumper skirt, but in the end it fitted without needing to cut anything. That isn't for an S trim though so it might be different for yours.
