Im not sure if its a problem or its just normal i have a mk2.5 focus 1.8 and on first start up and when throttle applied when stationary the revs drop right down like it wants to stall and has done before. Can anyone help me ?

It could be your fuel filter

Throttle body! Had exactly same issues. Never again since replacing. Not cheap fix mind.

Check your maf and check your idle control valve also check throttle position sensor

Often a clean will work if not then start with the idle control valve, then try the maf best test to see if the maf is the culprit is to unplug it and see if the car runs ok and clean with brake and clutch cleaner aerosol as evaporation is very quick change them only if problem persists if you can if a mate has a car the same try there maf on your car this will save buying one if it doesn't cure the problem after a clean also check for air leaks/losses around the inlet manifold as a loss in vacuum can also cause this and then if it is none of the above the throttle position sensor is where I would look next as sometimes they stick and or can't sense the correct position of the throttle butterfly causing running issues

How would i clean the throttle cause its and electronic one and cant move it by turning the cable like old cars

If this can't be done look up a good mobile auto electrician to run a diagnostic test but even an electronic throttle still should have a removable position sensor as it's a part that can fail unless ford want people to spend more money and made it non serviceable by people like you and me
