Removing Exterior Chrome Weatherstrip Mk3 2011

Featured Replies

Hi,

It looks like my new (to me) Focus MK3 Titanium has had some paintwork done to the rear offside door, and they must have removed and reinstalled the chrome weatherstrip. It now has a kink in it and it doesn't stay down at the end. Being fussy, this looks a mess, to what should be a clean line from the back quarter windows through to the front door. Is it easy to remove, as I've read anything from it coming out easy through to having to take off the interior door card to get access to some clips? I've looked on fordparts and it looks like there's a pin to hold the trim in-place at the door hinge end. Hopefully it's easy to see the pin and check whether it's either broken or missing. If the weatherstrip is easy to remove, I'll replace the whole thing.
