Removing Turbo 1.8Tdci

Featured Replies

Hello guys

I have a ford focus 1.8TDCI 2003 i am trying to remove the turbo as i need it to be refurbed however i am having trouble removing it from the engine bay.

Any suggestions or anyone that has removed a turbo from this model?

Thankyou for your time

Conna

My opinion is on the turbo if you don't know what you are doing suck it up and go to a respected garage.I had mine replaced last year with a genuine Ford turbo cost me About £1150 give or take a few pounds.Good idea to change the oil as well if you are going ahead.

Sent from my iPad using Ford OC

Comes out from underneath car, not engine bay.

Thankyou for the reply guys really appreciate it, Unfortunately i havent got that kind of money for labouring a mechanic which is why i carry out my own repairs but i was frowned upon on this one.

I have already flushed the oil and tried to remove as much debris as i could

The 2.0 one I did came out from underneath a royal pita to do
