laumk7
I picked up my car on the 6th and it had its first proper wash today (other than a quick 5 minuter), anyway, when I was armouring the wheels with sealant I noticed the wet look the dealer put on still present and glaring, now I put my hand on it a couple of times and it came away brown... In the other thread I asked if it could be (used?) motor oil they used, however after googling this its not good for the tyre at all! I've phoned the dealer and they claim they 'don't know what was used' What could the dealer have used which is lasting so long? and should I get it off in case it is motor oil immediately? Also how do I get it off? obviously I washed the car as normal and that hasn't shifted it.. If it's not oil what is it? I've never known any tyre dressing last this long before Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
iantt
Autosmart tyre dressing is brown and last ages, probably that dribbled on to wheels, will come off with a good soapy brush
laumk7
thank you for coming back to me :) I've since been out with the fairy and a scrubby brush, it was defo coming off brown, hopefully by morning I'll know if it's gone, if not it'll be the engine degreaser treatment for 'em Sent from my iPad using Ford OC
