Hello everyone. I've bought a Focus and so returned to the Ford fraternity after a long excursion into the realms of Vauxhall and Rover. The last time I needed advice on a Ford was when I wanted to replace the automatic choke on my Mark V Cortina with a manual one.

    A few of us have shame in our back catalogue of cars, I have 4 vauxhalls under my belt... Only one which I truly enjoyed was a mk2 Astra. The mk3 Astra and Vectra B were awful.

    Thanks for these messages everyone. Goodkat, my first car was a Vauxhall Chevette. To start it (every time) I had to crawl underneath it with a can of WD40 to free the jammed starter motor.
