Best Route To Take?

Featured Replies

So this week I will be making a trip from Godalming to Newbury (for a job interview). Since I don't want to be late, I will leave a bit early, however I am still worried of running into points/locations of potential gridlock.

For anyone that has experience with these areas, which of the two routes below are better? Or is there a better route than the two?

Possible options:

(1) via M3 + A339

(2) via A322 + M4

Alternatively, I could just take the train, if the chance of getting stuck in a traffic jam is too high. A friend suggested that I should just take the train and not bother. Any advice?

Cheers.

EDIT: It will be midweek, early in the morning, around 7:00 - 8:30.
