recently bought a focus estate with 2 keys, 1 key is the standard fob, and other is a simple cut key.

my issue now is recently changed battery in fob, since then the fob wont work, swapped back to old batt, still wont work.

now I cannot open the hatch.

i'll post in the technical for advice... thanks.

Yeah there is a wee chip in the fob beside the Battery well there is in mine anyways

local dealer requires £50 for a reset (re-programme)

A back up plan in case the fob retires.....

Goodness knows all I know is when I opened mine its just a battery and a chip :)

As sorry haha getting tired so not reading things right lol um is there not a wee key hole at the back to get into the boot or a wee button on dash ? What kind of motor have you got ?

can you suggest ? I've never noticed anything untowards.

If the car is unlocked on central locking then the boot should open by pressing the switch in the bootlid above the number plate, between the number plate lights.

Think it's only the fiestas that have them maybe umm try the back I know with my dads mondeo there's like a rubbery bit on the back that you can push up and the boot opens if that makes sense

just been out to retry that,

it does have the bit between the number plate lights but nothing happens.
