Help! - What Fuse? (Hard Wiring Mobius Dash Cam)

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Firstly I apologise if this subject has been mentioned in another thread.

I have a 2013 mk3 titanium navigator & I've just bought a mobius V3 dash cam & all associated parts/cables for hard wiring it in.

I wondered if anyone could give me advice on which fuse I should use for the piggy back connector?

Assume it's something low ie 5amp?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Martin

5 amps should be more than sufficient. I would even go 1amp if you can as it should need about half that.

Thanks for the reply Jeebo,

On looking at the fuse box/panel diagram there are several 5A fuses on the board, any advice which one I should/shouldn't use?

Thanks in advance

Fuse 86 is ign live, 4th fuse up right row i think.dont know what power supply you need? Not a dash cam expert. Permanant or ign live, doesnt matter what the fuse colours are in fusebox as the piggy back has its own fuse for the dash cam

Thanks iantt,

I'm looking to have the camera powered only once ignition Is turned on.

Thats the fuse position to use then, I use that fuse location for fitting front parking sensors on mk3 focus , if you look closely the fuse positions are numbered
