Whine On Drive

Steady whine on drive . Mechanic at work , suggests it could be wheel bearing. Doesn't stop on gear change .is continuous , which makes me think it could be the bearing. Any thoughts !!

From the title in your post I wondered why my mrs was on your drive!!! Lol

Does the sound change if you turn steering slightly left or right,

Can be wheel bearings, driveshaft centre bearing, or tyres
