Engine Flush Before Oil Change

Featured Replies

Hi

I want to get into the habit of changing my oil every 5\6K

and rather giving it to the garage to line his pocket thought ill do it my self

So my question is what is the correct way to flush the oil out?

Regards

Not to sure on this but I'm sure it's unwise to use flushing oil on a turbo engine cos like you used to flush all mine but when I got this one sure I read somewhere not to use flushing oil .

Not worth the potential grief i.m.o. - just drain the oil, change filter & refill as normal.

like above, ford dont recommend flushing the oil. just change it reguarly with good oil & filter and you should be good

Never flush an engine, can reveal more problems than it can solve. Regular oil changes using top quality oil is the best thing for an engine.
