Possibly A Silly Question

Featured Replies

Afternoon all,

So today I've been running around the doors (short journeys) & have noticed while locking car that engine bay fan is running.

On pervious motors I've experienced this usually after long trips or in the summer due to heat, today however it's about 5c, with strong winds & rain in the Northeast.

Is this normal? Should I be concerned? Have I done it by wiring in dash cam?

Thanks

Is it a diesel? If it is then it is attempting a DPF regeneration and the cooling fan will be requested hence why it runs for a short period when you stop the engine.

My mother's car is the same, can run for 5 mins sometimes.took it back to ford's and they said what simcor says.Don't worry about it..

Yeah it's a 1.6 diesel, thanks for the reply you've put my mind at rest.
