Ford Focus Radio Signal Problems

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone

I am new to the forum and hope to contribute more in the future.

I just wanted to see if anyone has had a similar problem to me.

I bought a brand new Focus Zetec Climate 1.6 in 2008. Since I bought the car I have had terrible signal from the radio. It can pick up Radio 1 & 2 and Classic FM. I live in Belfast and for the locals, Cool FM, Citybeat and U105 are off limits. They are all FM.

Now on AM everything is off limits. I have never been able to listen to any radio station on AM in 7 years. If for instance I am accelerating I can hear the pitch of the static rise the same as the revs, when you change gear the static will die off slightly and then come back whilst accelerating.

Is anyone able to help me or push me in the right direction ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Check to ensure the antenna is plugged in on the rear of the audio unit. Also check the grounding and connections for the antenna...these are located behind the housing for the internal light.
