Focus 1.6 Tdci 2008

Featured Replies

hi can anyone help my 2010 1.6 tdci focus is acting up. it has stalled now a few time while driving on the motor way and each time it has started again but it could drive for 5 mins or 30 mins without happening again. i have scanned the car using delphi software and the following fault codes have shown up p0087 and p2290. The fuel filter was changed 3 weeks again. The car also shutters intermittently between 1500 RPM and 2000 RPM but has been doing this since i bought it 6 months ago where the stalling is only in the last 3 weeks.

Thanks for the help in advance.

P0087 could be low fuel rail or system pressure.

P2290 could be injector control pressure too low

Would i be correct in thinking that the fuel line to the filter could be partly blocked.
