Focus 1.6 Overheats

focus 2005 1.6 ti vct reads normal on temp gauge but chucks all coolant out off expansion bottle

Its had a water pump, thermostat, cylinder head, radiator the heater matrix has been bypassed

Please help



Simple one this change the coolant tank cap expansion cap if the seals gone it wont pressurise and will force the coolant out the cap it didn't need the majority of the above the only other two things I theres a device right hand side at headlight that's s coolant bypass if that's faulty it will cause issues and the y piece pipe into the water pump has a second thermostat

Hi thanks for your reply. I know theres a thermostat in the black plastic housing under the alternator, wheres the other one

do youreself a favour before trying that replace the expansion cap
