Carrying out a bit of research and trying to find out what people would set aside for a hotel room per night if they were spending a night or two away with their partner...

...or what they want their partner to set aside (for the ladies who get treated!)

I know us blokes are generally tight wads and if we could get away with dropping £30 (if that) onto a counter and having a room that would make the lady happy then we'd do it... but please, we all know how much trouble we'd actually be in if we did that - and how unhappy she'd be!

Also, what would you expect for your money?

Anything included? Or would you pay extra to have some flowers in the room/bubbly... Big bathrooms? Smart tv's? good wifi? Bar?

Would really help me out if you could throw a few answers my way!

Much appreciated :)

£100 per night B&B 4 star + with good facilities ( swimming pool / spa & decent restaurant & residents only bar with waiter service )

room,by jeepers.thats what the cars for.........

In city centre Manchester on a Friday or Saturday night it can be up to £109 for a Premier Inn. I usually pay around £129 a night to stay in the Hilton because it's closer to where we need to be.

The cheapest you'll get is a Travelodge but my missus doesn't like them.

Whatever it costs.

My darling wife is worth it ;)

Smooth... Very smooth indeed

God no!

She's not a car person.

Her idea of the perfect vehicle is a purple Citroen C1 for heavens sake.

Haha, so you can say anything without any danger of repercussions then!

Pretty much yeah :d

Ultimately it depends where the hotel needs to be, Edinburgh or London are twice the price than compared to say Bristol for a decent hotel.

Although the Crazy Bear in Beaconsfield is the Place to stay if trying to get in there so to speak, nothing beats a roll top copper bath at the bottom of the bed. good place for food too.

At least that's a demand that's easy to satisfy.

Most women want something more posh - a Range Rover!

What? In the bath at the bottom of the bed? Doesn't your pasta get soggy? :-)
