Wrong Engine?

Hi, I have a 2012 fiesta 1.4 tdci and was looking in the manual to locate the air filter. Found 2 pictures, 1 is a 1.4 tdci and other is the 1.6 tdci. My engine looks like the 1.6 tdci in the picture but it is 1.4 tdci on the V5C. Can anyone help me locate the engine number on the engine so I can check it with the number on the V5C. I have attached a photo of my engine.

Thanks,

Warfyboy.

I've just been googling this for a bit trying to get an answer, there are surprisingly few pictures out there! The only few I've found, along with a matching picture in the car handbook, point to it being a 1.5... I didn't even think this existed in 2012? I'm very confused too now!

There is no intercooler, so it is not the 1.6 tdci.

Unless it is somehow a 1.6 with no intercooler, lol.

I agree though, most pics on the internet do not have an airbox, they have the air filter on top of the engine, but you don't. Maybe it changed at some point...?

What is written on the b-pillar sticker?

Hi Pink Panther, I've added another photo from the manual. This is why I'm confused as my engine looks like the 1.6 tdci. thanks for your reply.

Hi Alexp999, where would the intercooler if my engine did have 1 and what is the b-piller sticker. Thanks for your reply.

Looks like a trip to the garage for me.

A lot of the 1.6 hdi engines have the filter at the back like the manual says for a 1.4, there is no intercooler, as the pipes go direct from the turbo to the intake manifold, even the 2.0 hdi/tdci some people get confused with the 1.6

If you had an intercooler (found on the 1.6) you would have two big air feed pipes going down behind the front bumper, just to the left of the oil dipstick.

Yours definitely doesn't have an intercooler, so it is at least not the 90/95PS 1.6 tdci.

Hi everyone, Jennings ford has never gotten back to me so took it to a garage near me. He said the same as you alexp99, no intercooler so must be a 1.4 and he said he would advise me to stay away from Jennings as they would charge me a fortune for a 2mins job (he could be lying to get my business). So I'm happy with the outcome.

Thx everyone would helped.
