Focus Mk2 Cigarette Lighter

My cigarette lighter has fell in the whole any idea how to get it back out

Pop out the plastic cap on the panel next to your clutch pedal and remove the screw with a Torx screwdriver.

Pull the panel off and you will be able to find the socket hanging down.

It looks like the seating ring around the socket has broken or else the socket would be quite firmly in position.

The plastic ring would I assume have been a black non-illuminated one however there is a cable taped to the socket wiring which when attached to an illuminated ring will light it up (red and green available) which looks better than the blank black one.

I have a spare green illuminated one, if you want it just PM me your postal details, no charge as it is now surplus to my requirements.

To mount the socket you put the ring into the hole first from the front , next slide the socket in from the front as well ensuring you line up the grooves.

Connect the power cables and illumination wire from behind and job done.

I'll have one of those green rings out to you in a couple of days.
