does anybody on here suffer with the boot handle sticky tape thingy popping out from the handle ? like in the pic

its the second one that's been on the car getting a bit fed up with it.whats the cure.

    there should be a form pad around the trim on the inside, I used a bit of clear silicone but it wears away over time.

    that is the foam pad.it just keeps coming out from under the handle

    I used a blob of silicone to hold it in an to keep the water out, also helped prevent the plastic from rubbing tailgate

    ahh got you now cheers might give it a go.

    I bought and fitted one of the gaskets Ford do for the tailgate handle and same thing happened, just got some extra PVC tape under it now.

    Think long tern this will be an obvious place for cars going rusty, also the lugs on the tailgate which contact the body rubbers. Must be loads of cars out there where the clear stickers used to protect the paint have gone walkies and the paint's worn through to the metal :angry:
