2006 Focus 1.8Tdci Lower Intercooler Pipe Replacement.

Featured Replies

I have a small leak and whooshing sound from the lower intercooler pipe on my mk2 Focus 1.8tdci. The top one I replaced last year with a silicone one, took about 10 minutes. How much of a job is it to replace the lower one please ? If anyone has a guide or tips that would be great.

This is what I'm going to order:

its just as easy, the only difficult part would be taking off the clip on the intercooler side, best to take out the left headlight to get more room

Thanks James, I'll be taking out the headlight as you advised. Will let you know how I get on when new hose arrives, ordered it earlier today.

The job went well, taking out the left hand headlight certainly helped, still tight to get to the bottom jubilee clip which attaches to the intercooler but got there in the end. I'm now back on full boost power again, thanks James for your help.
