Leather Seats Are To Hard, Going To Change To Cloth

Both the leather and cloth seats were the most comfortable seats available on the focus mk1. The only difference between the leather and the cloth seats is the upholstery. The inside of the Ghia seats is identical. For many people the Ghia seats are too comfortable/too soft.

Next to the Ghia interior there were also some other types of stock interior. The base interior of the lower spec versions was only available in cloth. these seats are very flat, too soft and do not give any support at all. The sporty interior which was also available in both leather and cloth. These seats are harder and give more support. The leather version of these seats have lower quality leather than the Ghia seats.

The choice of seats is very personal. The only way to find the best seat for you is testing. A focus MK1 interior can be found without any problems. There are enough cars on scrap yards. Note that the Focus MK1 is quite old and many of them have worn out seats. Finding a low mileage scrap car which has the type of interior you want may take some time.

I've never had such uncomfy and hard seats in car yet and believe me I've had a few (cars), you can tell the leather's cheap maybe that's why too, it's not supple/soft like leathers I've had before. I'll find a mk1 with cloth near me and try it, I've a feeling if I'm keeping this car I'll need to get different ones

It's a Ghia with 110000, the leather's obviously original, it might have been soft and comfy at some point...not now it's not!

Try treating it with leather food like Grangers Glove Balm. That will soften it a ton and make it look new. Leather needs to be fed regularly to keep it soft and supple
