thanks ill give that a go

Im in rotherham ill give it a search see what turns up cheers

so far i have found the following:

http://www.exhaustsuk.com

http://www.longlife.co.uk/dealer-locator/

good luck!

the clips are tricky - like Charlie says use a screwdriver but if they ping out and you lose them then double side mirror tape helps fix them in place (i put it on the outside of the deflector so it sticks to the inside of the window rubber)

How exactly have you fitted them atm?

  • Author

they are just held in with its normal fits and the stick tape on them atm as when i were fitting the clips they just fell out whenever the window was down, obviously i must have been fitting the clips wrong if they do work

colour code the black trim around the car looks so much better fit bosch aero blades if you have not all ready so

i was wanting to do that but didnt have a clue on the way to go abaht it tbh would they need to be taken off and sprayed?

A wide bladed screwdriver is ideal for pushing the clips up, firm pressure is needed.

  • Author

does anybody have a picture on the placement of the clips, when i tried fitting them before the clip base seems way to wide to fit in the ...(im not sure what its called) door seal?

They need to be tight to grip properly.

You will get resistance as the clip notches into the window channel but keep pushing and they will pop in ok.

Hi, first post.

I've just fitted the heko deflectors, as others have said they take some pushing to go in. I couldn't use a flat bladed screw-driver as the clip kept falling off, so instead opted for the window scraper I had in the boot. The clips fitted on this snug and been wider than the screw-driver didn't fall off. Just pushed them (with force) and they popped into place.

Mine also came with tape so after removing this and fitting the clips I kept the windows up to help with the pressure to stick to the window frame/seal. Hope this helps.

Nice looking focus too by the way.

Good tip.

I personally use a Bojo tool but exactly the same principle.

New head unit came yesterday its a Clarion VX402E

http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/clarion-vx402e-double-din?gclid=CjwKEAjwp_uqBRClvrrXmsbPog4SJACK4gIPW3bFTxS6SEmdalDVdXksHw2JxxM-ONzO5m-81zD2pRoCBkvw_wcB

is there anything that i would need before attempting to install this ( cages, other wires etc.)

Also could this unit be used with the control on the steering wheel?

If you're stuck for ideas maybe take a look at my build thread for a few ideas:

http://www.fordownersclub.com/forums/topic/59644-kpgs-focus-mk2-titanium/

You may find something there useful :)

Sent from my iPhone 5s.

Gonna need a full fitting kit ideally dude so new cage, patch lead, aerial adaptor and stalk controls adaptor so talking about another 50quid ish

Shoulda had my pioneer off me mate for an extra 100 as it has all the fitting kit ready to go and slightly more features like dab. Sound quality be better too

Argh well ill have to get that sorted then, and i were looking at the pioneer ones but i didnt like the look of the interfaces for when using it just seemed abit allover the place.

Might just take it somewhere to fit it for me and then i can get new speakers and a custom sub fitted then aswell :p

looked into having my headunit fitted, all speakers being replaced plus sub install by an ICE specialist, this did not go how i planned at all seen as they quoted £180 just for fitting the headunit, Anybody know any places close to rotherham area that will have a more reasonable price or anyone from here that could be of service.

Speakers, Sub and amps still need to be purchased any suggestions for these are appreciated.

£180 for fitting a stereo? thats silly money

it isnt that difficult to do yourself - you'll learn how to do it yourself through trial and error and this will help you in the future too.

i've just installed a double din android hu into my car and used this fascia/trim to hold the hu in place - better than a cage which stayed loose

wiring loom

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PC99-X50-FORD-FOCUS-2003-2011-STEERING-STALK-CONTROL-ADAPTOR-PATCH-LEAD-/181004195680?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&var=&hash=item2a24b0d760%C2%A0&clk_rvr_id=849932799530&rmvSB=true

take the r/h vent out so that it gives you access to move the wires out the way when it comes to installing the hu in place.

the speakers will need to have the rivets drilled out and you need to use 6.5" speaker adapters to mount the new speakers, again an easy enough job.

Sump/amp wiring is a bit different but again not complicated, experience in a little bit of wiring helps. Do not of your mates not know how to install hu/speakers?

you can always ask your local mechanic to install it as they should know a little about ICE and how to install it.

shame you are not nearer as i could have helped you out.

Yeah that's what i thought myself ,i only paid £150 for the unit itself ill have to have a look at some tutorials or something might have a clue then :,)

  • Author

Thats exactly what im tryna achieve:,) need some idea on the products needed and specs like does the resistance matter and stuff:,)

the set up I'm running at the moment is simple and sounds good I would reccomend the sub and enclosure. Get yourself an amplifier and a descent set of front component speakers - amplifying the front speakers paired with a sub sounds amazing. Specs always depend on what sub, amp and speakers you are going for, also budget and how you want it to sound.
