Idiot Children On Scooters

Featured Replies

I'm not sure who the idiot is who thought giving children the right to ride wasps was a good idea. I'm uploading a video later, but at a junction, some idiot kid thought it was a good idea to slow down in the middle of the road, grab a younger kids arm as he was riding on a scooter and ride off down the road at 30.... Kid wasn't wearing a helmet on the cycle, fortunately for the fist on the scooter he East....

Reported to the local force and was disappointed when they said they didn't need to see the CCTV footage sounds like they don't plan in doing anything about it.

Bleedin idiot, if that kid had fallen off at 30 would have suffered serious injuries...

Woop police woman came around earlier took a statement on her notepad and a copy of the footage having been as irritated as I was by the footage...

I have a young 'erbert that likes to do the same on some little dirt bike thing around my way.

He's utterly fearless on it. All without a skid lid or any protection on at all. He'll have his chips soon enough the way he goes.

Hopefully I can get him on the dash cam when I fit it.

Police love dashcams. Around my way they are rare, whenever an officer asks how much did that cost (as if I just told them I bought a veyron with only 2k on the clock) they are gobsmacked to hear how little it is. I have even convinced one or two law folks to get one

There is/was a young lad near me who used to tear up and down the street on his dirt bike. No lid, no leathers, nothing.....popped a wheelie, back end lit up and he went straight into a concrete lamppost......

That in itself should have been enough to teach him a lesson, 3 months later he was flying up the maiin road that I lived off, car pulled out in front of him at night, no lights on, and he went flying over the car and hit a wall. I think they hosed him down.

I had bikes for about 10 years, rode them like an old man in built up areas, but when the roads opened up so did my throttle.

It took a serious crash and me ending up under a bus and on crutches for 6 months for me to realise they were dangerous.

But going back to your original point, they let anyone have a CBT these days at the age of 16. Going back nearly 15 years now, but the day I did my CBT, there was a girl who was about 20 years old. We drove around the test centre car park for half the day and then went out on the roads after dinner. She went to pull out the car park and went straight across a main road and through a fence on the other side.

The instructor made her pick the bike up and carry on. She passed.....tells you everything you need to know about the types of incompetence they allow on the roads

Doesn't surprise me though I suspect this day in age you will lose the chance and fail the cbt or at least you would hope!
