14 Plate Focus Undertray

Featured Replies

Hi guys

I'm in the need for a little help!

I have been using my boyfriend's car and have caused a little damage :( I reversed onto a traffic cone and cracked the undertray (I think that's what's is called). I can't seem to find where to buy a replacement one from. I even phoned a ford dealer and he didn't really know what I was talking about.

There seems to be mk2 focus undertrays on ebay, would that fit?

Any help would be much appreciated and fellas don't let your girlfriends drive your cars!

Mk2 wont fit the car in afraid the engine undercover or engine undertray should be available from fords but it wont be cheap

Just take it off and deny all knowledge. Unless he is in the habit of getting under the car he will never know!

On a serious note i would just own up and let him sort it. He might know someone that can get him discount on a new one.

Hi Try hills of skemerdale they will have one and they can post it to you good luck

Sent from my iPad using Ford OC

Ford call them an Insulator and they are about £43, dependant on engine size.

If you ask for 'insulator' and give the vehicle reg or VIN they will find it.

if she reversed over traffic cone, maybe she is on about the rear under tray, mk3 has a plastic tray under spare wheel well area.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. You are correct iantt it was whilst reversing so at the rear of the car.

That part is listed as a 'Deflector' and is about £35.

Depending on exact spec the part number will either be F1714735 or F1714724.

Still not having any luck finding the part. It looks like the circled item in the picture above but not finding it using the part numbers listed. Here's a picture of the damage. As suggested in a post above he would probably never know about it but he is trading it in to ford in a few weeks for the new ST and I'm sure it will be picked up then :/

Picture came out upside down sorry

Tbh if He's trading in Fod won't worry about it.

The part is only £35 and is more cosmetic than functional.

I would be very surprised if there was any fuss at all.

So it was the rear one then, leave it , dealer wont notice it at all, I know salesman wont look that low,
