!Removed! Bmw Drivers

Featured Replies

So yesterday morning a good friend of mine phoned me asking to look at his car just thinking he'd kurbed it and ruined his alloy but this is what I found. Once I get a picture of his alloy I'll put it up but it's in a right state. Got to feel sorry for him though being a bmw it's going to cost him a fortune.

And that's the state of his wheel

Ouch . . did he lose an argument with a Chieftain tank ? ! :)

Haha the amount of damage underneath it looks like it but it was a curb that done it. Not very fast either, he's bent something to do with the suspension aswell as part of his chassis

Cheap German tat ! :)

Haha exactly. Must say it's a lovely car to drive but to expensive for what they are especially when they go wrong

Oh dear oh dear oh dear ......

Absolutely, oh dear

ouch, thats a painful one!

what year is the car?

It's a 57 plate 3 series m sport that's done 35000 miles. And yes they are on runflats but were still fully inflated

Me aswell. It confused his computer on the car saying there was a puncture on the dash, he ruined some suspension sensor aswell

holy bajoley!

Looks like he has fractured the subframe :|

I don't know 100 percent what it is but it's getting toed to the garage today so I'll soon find out when he tells me

  • 2 weeks later...

I know a few people who curb their tyres fairly regularly, but to do that kind of damage either takes a terribly built car or an especially bad driver...

That's not light kerb damage... I've hit my fair share of kerbs in various cars and never done anything like that.

Im sure a mobile alloy wheel repair van man could fix the wheel!:lol:

Is his name Pinnochio by any chance??? lol

You have got to be driving like a prize prat to cause that much damage kerbing a car in my opinion. Either that or his BMW is made from butter.

I've seen worse...

I used to work at a body shop which had a contract with a TVR/Scooby dealer. They had a brand new Impreza import in, 3 different colours, black with a purple and silver flake. This car was a work of art. STi with full WRX kit. Anyway, it is in the workshop as someone had done a blag on the dealers, shunted the side with a truck and shoved it into another car. 2 doors on both sides. Über quick turnaround as it needs to go in for EU modifications.

It is back at the body shop the following week. Guy at garage drove it too fast into the unit, cracked front bumper. Then somehow folds a front door by not putting a jack leg in the right place. Go hum, gives us chance to repaint the doors, as they weren't 'quite right'.

(Bear in mind the owner hasn't collected yet, to his knowledge the car is tip top)

Car goes out, back to dealers, they hand it over to the owner.

Who promptly hits a kerb with such force that the front wheel has demolished the wing. 'Only clipped it' he says.

Can't remember the number plate now, but I'd know it if I see it.
