Best Wash N Wax Shampoo 5L

Featured Replies

As in the title, what is the best shampoo in a 5 Litre tub,the stuff i put into bucket and

just add water,i have used ZIP WAX for ages but all gone, around £15 or so.

Thanks

I've been using Autoglym shampoo for ages and it always does the job. It doesn't create as much foam as some others but leaves hardly any residue, and cleans really well. I'm not sure how much a tub that big would cost, but I have a smaller one and it lasts ages.

I have just read a lot of good reviews on this SIMONIZ PROTECTION SHAMPOO.

Amazon/halfords/ and a google search gives it good reviews, thinking about trying it.

Halfords have 5L for £14.99

Yeah I've used Simoniz a few times too, another good one. More foamy than Autoglym but leaves more residue too (I think).

Autoglym is superior, cuts through the crap with ease, top it off with Super Resin for a nice clean shine.

Demonshine, the bright Green one is pretty good too but turns the bucket into 75% foam, don't bother with all in ones though, do it properly with separate items.

I don't have a lot of time only once in a while for a good wash and wax etc. so wanted a good

wash and wax/protection stuff just to keep it good for a few weeks,i looked at this Simoniz as the reviews.

I have the Autoglym Super Resin for the main job when i have the time and Meguiars Gold for my leather.

If you dont want the foam in your bucket then fill it with water first and then add the Demonshine and swirl the water round to mix it in. Or, partially fill with water first before adding it so you still get some foam but not a bucketful.;)

^ that's just too long winded for me.

So say for around £15 as on offer would to try this simoniz as it's a 5L tub or would you get the

demonshine as you said,it's at halfords.

The link don't work

Also buy premium on here and get a 15% off card to use there. you'll make it back quite quickly tbh.

Go for the demonshine one, last's quite a long while.

Will try some of that, the green one is the foam one or the pink one.

Free foam gun :)

£5 foreign hand car wash jobbie for you instead then?

I've tried all sorts of polishes and shampoos over the years, my particular favourite is Autoglym, it's always given brilliant results. You wont get it for £15 for 5 litres, more like £15 for 2.5 litres but it is very economical - you only need two cap fulls per wash and it really brings the shine up on your car a treat by applying a protective gloss film to the paintwork.

If you polish your car with Autoglym Super Resin polish and then apply a coat of Autoglym extra gloss protection and wash it with their shampoo the shine will last for months. They do another polish which is supposed to be for dark coloured cars - Ultra Deep Shine, but this is more expensive than SRP and I personally think Super Resin gives better results, so I wouldn't bother with it.

Mine still shines like it did after a polish, even though I haven't polished it for about 6 months. Water still beads nicely too, so I guess this is just the affect of washing it every week with Autoglym shampoo. It probably helps that the car is only a year old too.

Just that i read that if done with the autoglyn i have to wax it after and i want a wash shampoo that i can just rinse off.

I give it a good wax in a every few weeks,my job don't give me the option to spend hours outside only sometimes.

So i always try and use a wash n wax but a good ish one and do it every week.

Its between this demonshine ( green one i think ) or simoniz protection.

Nope, you just rinse it off and ideally dry with a good microfibre towel, and it'll leave a nice shine.
