What Shall I Buy A Fiesta Metal Or Fiesta Ecoboost 140Ps

The large radiator is at fault on these little cars

1.0 ecoboosts take a while to heat especially in the winter if you want to heat it up faster you got to accelerate faster I noticed. If it's taking that long to heat up you must drive like a feather (more eco) because I drove with economy in mind thinking it would heat up drove to work in winter (takes 30mins) and it just heated up when I arrived this car doesn't like the cold weather but in warmer weather say 5℃ and up the car heats up in no time it's a common thing with the 1.0 ecoboost there have been quite a few ppl asking this

Oh and the 1.0 in focus will heat up faster because the engines working harder to pull a bigger car

At least there's someone who knows there is a problem and I'm not going mad. My trips to work and back are all through the town, so I'll have to do the journeys in 2nd gear to get the car to warm up! I wish this was on Watchdog like the Fiat 500 that can't go up hills. Is there another thread where people are complaining about this? My dad is due to change his Mondeo in September (has a Titanium Turbo Diesel at the moment) he was going to get the petrol version this time around but with what's happened with me, he's not so sure now

Had 2 1.0 and had no issues with warming up. It's down to driving style.

That's what a said above pretty much if ur driving for economy it obv will take longer to heat up but if you drive a little more acceleration it will heat up faster

Plus it's not really a issue as it got things in place not to damage engine when cold

It's a great little engine and canny fault it a wasn't saying me engine was a fault it's ment to be like this I'd rather the car being cold than overheating lol but as said for economy but under cold Scottish temps it's obv gonna take longer to heat most December was -4

This is a strange comparison as their is a huge price difference in buying each vehicle?

Yer I guess but I guess but u have to pay more for a new car

Easy choice really. If fuel economy is important then the ecoboost is your only option.
