I've just bought a focus 1.6tdci auto ghia . Its a 2007 , and got no heated front screen . Should it have one .it's just got the rear window button?

Hi, if there's no button then it probably wasn't made with 1 unless there's a blanking plate that looks newer than the others then in that case it may have had the screen replaced.

Has it got the elements in the windscreen glass, tiny wiggly wires? Thats the technical term lol!

I would suggest it should have H.F.S. - type your reg into Ford etis to check.

Front heated screen wasn't standard fitment so it's quite possible that includes yours. If the switch was there but no heated screen then that could indicate the screen was replaced at some point and either the wrong glass fitted or someone didn't want to pay for the heated screen.

You could always put your reg into Ford etis website to see the original build spec. Maybe find a similar reg off ebay which had heated screen so you can see the difference in specs?

Hi it you lift the bonnet up and look on the right or left hand side where the hinge is you will see two flat wires there they are for the heated front screen

My better half's 2006 1.6 ghia does have heated front screen.
