Remote Key Battery Low Message

Hi all was just wandering if there is any way of disabling the 'remote key battery low' message on my mk2.5? I know the obvious answer would be to replace the batter in my key fob but it's been like that for well over half a year now and the battery is still working fine. Many thanks.

    Just buy a battery lol. I got a pack of 4 Duracell for only £2.75 on ebay.

    Never knew that the mk2.5 displayed a low key fob battery message!!! how does this work and does it display in the cluster?

    As soon as you start the car it makes that chime sound and in the cluster say that message! Then it leaves the yellow warning light on above it. As I said it's been like that for well over half a year, so the batter clearly isn't low!
