Back To A Mondeo After A Few Years In Alfa Romeo's

Featured Replies

Hi all, well after a few years in Alfa's I have decided to return the car I did more miles in for the least amount of hassle and running costs I've had so far in my 29 years of driving a good old Mondeo.

I pick a Titanium X up on Friday and plan to keep her for two years and if she proves to me Fords are as good as maybe even better then my last Mondeo ghia x I will upgrade to a newer Titanium x sport.

So I'm looking forward to Friday to collect my car and see how she goes and then spend some dosh on a nice exhaust system and change the front fog lights.

So a big hello to one and all.

Steve.

Hi welcome :)

Welcome to the site Steve!

Hi, nice motor! Should be no competition, Alfas have the style but the reliability is shocking. I would have loved a 156 but never had the patience to be pulling the bonnet daily...

Welcome to the site, nice Mondeo. :)

Alfas aren't nearly as unreliable as people think, having to open the bonnet daily is utter rubbish. Also they don't rust! My mum had a 147 and it never let us down, we really miss that car.

Which Alfas did you have?

Hello and welcome

I hear what Chris above said but i cant help myself must ask.

Did you get feed up with the breakdown service knowing you by first name when they saw your phone number on the caller display? as i said sorry had to ask.

How many horses do you have? Your motor looks in very good condition and i like the colour, What if any extras do you have? can see the rear park. What reg was you last mondeo?

Current Alfa is a 1.9 JTD MULTI JET 170 BHP DIESEL
Done 40,000 In her miles and she has never broke down.
Pick the Mondeo up tomorrow so will report back what she is like, I will use it until I find enough cash to buy a Titanium X Sport.
I also own a classic Mini which I have built from the ground up erm but she does brake down lol.
