Hi,

I have just bought a 2014 1.0 Titanium X and have been playing with the ambient lighting colours, however, before I go and try and open up the light covers or go back to the dealer, are the passenger side footwell lights dimmer or have less bulbs than the drivers side? The lights on the drivers footwell are noticeably brighter.

The footwell lights should both illuminate the same. The circuit board of both footwell lights are identical so technically there should be no difference.

However the position of the footwell lights at the driver and passenger side is slightly different. The different position affects the light beam which may be the reason why one does look as bright as the other.

As a test you could change the circuit board between both footwell lights. The circuit boards are only clipped into the lenses and can be removed very easily.

I think you may be right, the drivers side is a bit lower and to the right whereas the passenger is higher and central. I have seen a picture whilst searching that sort of backs up how my one looks on an American ST http://i.imgur.com/6W9gh.jpg The drivers side being a lot brighter on this.

As noted earlier, I should have said the lamps are in different positions in the footwell. The pedal box obviously makes a difference too.
