Help Needed!

Featured Replies

Hi guys I've come round to liking the idea of leds in the front grill. Anyone with any tips on what kit will be needed and wiring them in?

A few more details as to how you plan to use them may get you more replies.:) Do you mean led's or daytime running lights (DRL's)?

Leds pal as you can see from profile pic I've already had drls installed

Oh yeah lol, im using my phone so the pic is a bit small for my aging eyes! So are you just looking to fit a manual switch then so they run independently from everything else?

Well what I'd like dude information them to come on when I unlock the car?

just when the interior lights come on or to turn on and stay on when you unlock?

if its the former then either link them up to the overhead loom or footwell lighting, a better solution would be to run them off their own fuse and use a relay to turn on and off when you want them to go on via the interior lights, that way it protects the interior lights and doesn't draw too much through their circuit.

if you want them to light up and stay on itll be a bit more complicated, the above would just turn on an off with the interior light, isn't there some legal considerations with covering the car in LEDS as well?

You are not that clear on your needs for the lights. Just because they are on the front grill doesnt mean they cant be connected to the interior lights. It depends how you want to use them.

Maybe a couple more details about exactly how you want them to come on, stay on, go off etc might get you the answers you need.:)

There are some clever people on here that will be happy to advise once they have all the info required to help you.;)
