That won't happen here as that's US legislation and is opposite to the EU rules that lead to an open OBD port.

If car makers could do this then the current thefts via OBD would be less or none existent.

As far as I'm concerned the obd poet should physically locked away in a secure box.

Haha I meant port. I think the obd port should be locked in a thick steel box like a black box. Either that or the disablement software you can get as part of aftermarket security packs
