Mk1 Reverse And Rear Fog Not Working After Crash.

Featured Replies

Hi all I hope you can help me out.

Some idiot hit my mk1 focus the other day and didn't stick around (w****r I know) anyway when I went to my car the bumper was hanging off and large dent in the rear panel over the passenger side wheel.

After reattaching the bumper and connecting the lights back up the best I can the rear fog and reverse light no longer work.

I have changed both bulbs for new and jiggled things about a little but still no luck is there anybody that can help me to try and sort this out?

I would add that my mechanic skills are extremely limited.

Thanks in advance

Have you checked the fuses?

Check that the wires have not been severed too.

Thanks for the reply

I should have mentioned I have checked the fuses even though they are separate and I didn't think there was much chance of something so simple but the fuses are fine.

I also followed the wiring up into the boot and all seem to be connected as they should with no breaks.

All sorted I just went to the local scrappy and replaced the light sockets all working fine.
