Aux input for 5000 RDS on a 1999 Focus LX

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 1999 Focus LX with a 5000 RDS cassette head unit connected to a pioneer 6 cd changer mounted under the front passenger seat.

Is there a simple way of changing the set up so that I can get rid of the cd changer and connect my iphone to the head unit instead? Currently I use a tape adaptor but its not very satisfactory.

I'm not fussed about being able to control the iphone from the stearing wheel controls - not using the iphone dock connector means I can use the tomtom dock when its available.

All I'm looking for is to be able to connect the iphone via its headphone socket to an aux input (3.5mm to 3.5mm).

Thanks,

Anthony
