1.8 Tddi Changing Oil Filter ...without The Mess

Last time I changed oil filter after sump had been drained the oil from filter went everywhere except the container underneath :-) splashed all over everything below the filter.

Anyone got a method of doing this without getting the mess? I'll be lying on my back to remove oil filter..

    Take the osf wheel off you can just get to it through there (well I can on mine 1.8tdci) I think its the same,

    I lay on my side and unscrew fasts as I can and drop it in to a old washing up bowl
