hardmonkeys
HELLO! I'm Warren from Weymouth, Dorset, I've just bought my sisters Focus Zetec 1.6 of her, its a 1999 'T' in Red, the metal work seems solid, the plastic bumpers not so much, they have faded to a Pinky colour. although I cant really complain, its cost me £50!! she was just going to scrap it. It ran out of MOT on 16th June, she, didn't want to take the risk of a big bill, so I had it off her, I took straight into test centre, just to see whats what... it failed! whole new exhaust and a broken coil spring! not bad i'd say, I pick it up tomorrow from the test centre and will be looking to get it up together for either myself or to replace the wifes Puma will be on the look out for a front bumper in red if possible, will try find the 'WANTED' section and see whats available thanks

hardmonkeys
I'd say not, she bought it 3 1/2 yrs ago for around £750, so I know some of its history...she hasn't really looked after it, so it'll need a good old clean up and service, her attitude was ,'i take it for MOT every year, that proves it doesn't need anything else' oh dear! oh well, it has me now, so hopefully I can sort it out and get it back to former glories. I know its not going to be worth much, but its got some potential to be a 1/2 decent car

She got a new (to her) car 6 months ago after owning a total money pit shed for a year and has crashed it 4 times already (two crashes were in the same day). Some people just can't own anything nice without neglecting/ruining it. Suffice to say She'll never borrow my car :d
hardmonkeys
To be fair, her fella isn't much cop either, doesn't check fluids, just expects it to work, then moans when it breaks down. My dad is the same, he has a 08 TT, when he got it from Audi dealer back in 2011, it has full Audi history...it's never seen a garage since! He doesn't change the oil...just tops it up Tired of offering my services now lol...got my own fleet to look after, 2010 Audi A4 2000 VW Golf Cabriolet (ongoing engine and box conversion project) 1999 Ford Focus 1997 Ford Puma.(wife's car) So...yeah, I'm now too busy lol

Stoney871
I have never seen a more shocking example of a such unloved car. Please do it justice and return it to the condition it deserves to be in. Your sister should hang her head in shame for such a crime.

I totally agree, the clean up has begun...I'm stripping the interior down to carpets, and hoovering the lot, seats coming out this weekend coming, for a damn good soak and clean! Pictures aplenty coming soon
Stoney871
A good carpet vac and plenty of foam should help. Tesco's has a special on Simoniz cleaning products, everything for half price. Afraid the elbow grease is down to you alone (unless you can bribe a local detailers or have a desperate Romanian car wash team nearby :d ). Stoney871
Maybe you can convince her to buy a Corsa next? If she treats it the same as the Focus then there will be a few happy campers here :d
