So Much For A Mustang....

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Hope you're all enjoying the nice weather. Not much hotter in Vegas where I am at the moment!

Anyway, as some of you may know I've travelled to the U.S. with my dad for a driving holiday in Nevada and Calfornia, and we meant to be getting a new Mustang convertible...

However just as luck would have it we got...

A Chevrolet Camaro....in fairness it's ok but not a Mustang! I daren't post pics otherwise I'll get banned!

So if you're travelling out here, make sure you're getting a Mustang instead of a Chevrolet to avoid disappointment!

I'll let you guys know on how the trip goes though, Hopefully it'll be good!

Have a great time. I wish i was over there in any car!:)

Thank you! :) I'm currently in Arizona and it's much more natural here, just had a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon too.

Here's a picture of the Camaro if anyone is interested...

It's actually quite a nice car, plenty of power and nice and comfy. Rather thirsty though!

What's COPO?

Camaros aren't as common as Mustangs, everywhere I look there is a Muatang!

Poor you having to drive around in that old thing!:D

What's COPO?

Dont you watch Fast & Loud? A very very fast edition of your hire car.:)

Central Office Production Order, basically drag cars for the road.

I've only driven it around a car park unfortunately! It's comfy though.

0-60 in less than 6 seconds, 3.6L V6, I'm not complaining! It's not too thirsty really, it did about 26mpg (imperial) yesterday at around 70mph with the cruise control on.

Next stop Death Valley!

Oh I see! Yes I've seen a pic of that. ;)

Safe journey Chris, stick some pics up on here if you see anything interesting!:)

i had my self down for mustang when i last went to usa, i eneded with some bag of crap car instead, that one i had to return with electric faults in first day, then was upgraded so some other wallowing us car, did have 5.0 v8 though, ok for drag starts from lights , but corners?? we wont discuss that.

enjoy your trip over there,we all envious.

Looks cool!

Yes we haven't had much chance to see how it handles in corners, all the roads are straight! It's got plenty of power though, sounds lovely too! Made a video but not sure if it's possible to post it on here...

You could upload it to Youtube Chris and then post it on here.

Thanks WES, will look into it! :)

Sorry for the late reply, done nearly 600 miles in the !Removed! thing since Friday. We're getting sick of it now! once we reach LA we may pop in to LAX and see if it can be changed for a new Mustang, it's the least they can do (and another well know holiday firm) can do after cocking up the booking.

Will let you all know!
