Which Freshener Do You Use?

Featured Replies

I have this one. It only really works if you turn the blowers on, but I like it because when I use my sat nav I get tuck the cable behind it so it stays out of the way.

I also have one of those tree things but they only last about a week. . . Just something to add a bit of colour to the car.
Which one do you prefer?

California scents

I use the full range of inspired automotive fragrances, a different one every couple of weeks. Not because it doesn't last, but because the beauty of it being a spray instead of a clip on thing is it's invisible & easy to cover up

Stupid question, but do you guys like scent of those, or why you use those?

I use the Richbrook new car smell pump sprays.

Quick squirt in the vents and the car smells fresh and clean for a week or so.

See-... That's what the spray is for.

Last time I had a vent mounted air freshner I crashed into and wrote off a Micra.

Is Black Ice even a smell? I mean I'd associate it with . . . . rolling down an embankment or failing to stop before an oil tanker.

Jelly Bean - Cherry scent - £1.95 at Asda

I use ones like this; I find they are the only ones that don't cost a bomb and last ages. If you don't blow air out of your vents, they pretty much don't work. I like that, because I used to use the dangly Jelly Belly ones only to find my car stunk while I left it parked and then had ran out when I went to drive in it!

How much are the Febreze units? To be honest most other air fresher's have been ££ more than the Jelly Bean's that it's cheaper to buy 2 or 3 Jelly Beans than 1 of another type.

Inspired is 500ml for £4.50RRP, or £4

These smaller ones can be found as cheap as £1 in places like Home Bargains, but up to £2 - £3 elsewhere. I personally think anywhere £2 or less is good value.

Can't go wrong with a spray of Autosmart Blast in Berry. Lasts for ages!

I used to use the magic tree new car scent things, but I haven't used one in the ST yet and it's 15 months old now. It's starting to smell a bit funny though so might start using fresheners again, but so far I think all the leather has helped to keep it smelling new-ish.
