Does it not get a little annoying flashing all the time? Or does it just flash every other time it's switched on like some do? :)

Well iv skewed my interior light up and it's either blown the switch thingy? Because it don't come on with the doors anymore

Check the door switches one by one & check you get the door open light/warning on both doors bonnet & boot

Iv tested the actual light there's no power coming to it

The interior light operates using a switched earth as far as I know. So it should have 12v+ constant then the switched earth in the door switches

Have you checked your fuses?

Yeah their all fine

The horn occasionally shares the same fuse as the interior light. Check that

How have you tested that there's no power to the light?

Dads a mechanic and he's got some live testy thing. (I'm good with this, not!) he tested the wires that come into the light

Fair enough

Its a multimeter [emoji14]

Have you checked the horn fuse?

Have you tried it with both doors and the boot?

Yup no power at all just the interior light tho because the boot light still comes on

It's unlikely that both door open switches failed at the same time...

It's also unlikely, although possible.. that all the flashing of the light has either damaged or put the GEM (General electrical module) into a sulk

The GEM is like a little ECU that controls all the fades of the interior lights, coming home lights, AC, heated screens etc

GEM = Generic Electronic Module :)

GEM = Generic Electronic Module :)

Close enough ;)

Yh it's most likely that

It's not cheap if it's dead.. although I doubt it is as I'd have thought you'd have warning messages pop up about random things?

Ah sugar. Said something about melting the relay??

Does the light fade or click on and off usually?

Use to dim when the doors shut now I have to push it on

Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC

So it does switch on? Meaning you must have power?

Yh but there's no power coming to the wire with the relay I don't think
