I asked my dealer about this a few weeks ago when I first saw it and they weren't aware of anything. Even when they contacted Ford to check they weren't aware of anything.

So I have no idea where this article got its info from...

    I haven't heard anything, but knew the older focus had keyless vehicle thefts apparently via obd port.

    Owners of older models will be offered a physical device, thought to be similar to the lockable hatches that cover the diagnostics port and are currently sold by third parties.

    I might ask at the dealer when I go to pick up my car, see if they know anything.

    A few owners over on the Focus st owners club had a few topics running on this.

    Seems there was a lot of ST`s getting stolen down south, Think Birmingham was a bad area. Mostly facelift keyless entry ST`s.

    Think a few have invested in the steering wheel lock cover.

    Happening more and more ...... Couple taken from the same house in Wester inch, Bathgate just a few weeks ago ...... (Taken from another site)

    STOLEN*

    Both of our cars were stolen last night at around 2.15am from our driveway in Wester Inch, Bathgate, Central Scotland.

    Black Ford Focus ST3 estate, reg. SK13 UDZ.

    White Ford Fiesta ST2, reg. SM15 EAO.

    We live close to the mate so they could be some distance away now.

    If you have any information at all, saw people in the street, or have even seen the cars, please contact Police Scotland on 101.
