Window Chip

Featured Replies

So on the way to the chippy and my windscreen gets a stone chip 😒 has began to star already, are heated windows repairable? Or will it need replacing..im insured with admiral which has windscreen cover too. Bit annoyed though 😒

replace they do like for like so wont cost you any more I've had two go

Depends how big the chip is and where it is, just had ours replaced (through insurance...£75 excess) by Autoglass and can't complain. (Don't look online at the horror stories!) ours also has auto lights and auto wipers and they all work as expected.

heated can be repaired, but they are ugly. I have two repaired chips on my glass that I have had since I bought the car (tried to get a new windscreen in the deal, wasnt happening lol). But otherwise, they can be repaired. You still see the chip, and the slight crackage around it, but otherwise it does still operate and is strengthened, and looks ugly lol!

I bought mine in February 14, its gone through one winter and hasnt had any further cracks or damages!
